Portuguese Shrimp

cook:

20 min

4 sevings

Ingredients

1 bag of large shrimp (we prefer tail and skin on for this recipe)
3/4 tsp of salt
1/2 tsp of pepper
1 tsp of @konobagourmet Lisbon seasoning
1/4 tsp (If you don’t have this use the following : of garlic powder, 1/4 tsp of onion powder, 1/4 tsp of smoked paprika, 1/4 tsp of dried parsley)
4 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil
1/2 cup of beer
2 tbsp of pimento paste (we like to use hot but you can use sweet or a combo or both)
4 cloves of finely chopped garlic (about 1 1/2 tbsp)
Fresh parsley and lemon juice

Directions

1.
In a bowl combine your shrimp with your seasonings
2.
Heat a medium pan with olive oil and add your shrimp.
3.
Let fry for a few minutes and once they begin to slightly change colour (pink) add in your garlic and pimento paste.
4.
Stir until your shrimp are evenly coated and pour in your beer
5.
Let boil on high for a few minutes until your liquid begins reduce (Don’t let boil for too long as you do not want all the liquid to evaporate — the sauce is the best part !)
6.
Squeeze some lemon juice and top with fresh parsley
7.
ENJOY 😊
