Ingredients
8 oz orecchiette
4 tbsp butter
¼ c onion, diced
1 tsp garlic, minced
½ tsp salt
1 ½ tsp cracked black pepper
½ tsp lemon zest
1 c peas
½ c reserved pasta water
1 ½ c parmesan, grated
Directions
Step 1
Bring water to a boil in a large pot. Add in pasta and cook until 1 minute less than al dente.

Step 2
While pasta is cooking, add 2 tbsp of butter to a sauce pan on medium heat. Once butter has melted and is hot, add in onion. Sauté until translucent. Add in garlic, salt, and pepper. Sauté for 1 minute.

Add in lemon zest, peas, and pasta water. Bring to a simmer and let cook for 2-3 minutes.

Add in pasta, 2 tbsp of butter, and parmesan. Stir until ingredients are combined and cheese has melted (about 1-2 minutes).
