Ingredients
3 cup flour, sifted
1 ½ tsp baking soda
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp cinnamon
Dash of salt
1 cup crisco
1 cup sugar
1 cup dark molasses
2 eggs, beaten
2 cup evaporated milk
1 tsp white vinegar

Step 1
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Step 2
In a medium sized bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon, and salt. Set aside.

In a large bowl, cream crisco and sugar until fluffy. Beat in molasses and eggs. In a separate bowl, combine evaporated milk and vinegar and add to molasses mixture. Sift dry ingredients into the molasses mixture. Blend to make a thick batter.

Drop large tablespoons of batter 3” apart on a greased cookie sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Dust with powdered sugar and enjoy!
