Ingredients
1 lb ground italian sausage
½ onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp oregano
1 tsp basil
1 tsp marjoram (optional)
salt and pepper, to taste
24 oz marinara
32 oz chicken broth
1 c diced tomatoes
2 c pasta
1 c heavy cream
½ c ricotta
1 c mozzarella, shredded
Directions
Step 1
Brown sausage in a large sauce pot. Drain and set aside.

Add onion to the pot and sauté on medium heat. Once translucent, add in garlic, oregano, basil, marjoram, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional minute.

Mix in cooked sausage, marinara, broth, and diced tomatoes. Cover and let sauce come to a simmer.

Add in pasta and cook al dente according to box directions.

Mix in heavy cream, ricotta, and mozzarella. Taste and adjust seasonings accordingly.

Scoop into a bowl and garnish with ricotta and fresh basil.
