Ingredients
Churro Tres Leches
3 eggs
2 cup white sugar
¾ cup vegetable oil
1 cup sour cream
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 ½ cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
1 tbsp cinnamon
2 tbsp milk
½ cup white sugar (for topping)
1 ½ tbsp cinnamon
1 can condensed milk
1 can evaporated milk
1 cup whole milk
2 tsp vanilla extract (for tres leches)
Cinnamon Cream Cheese Frosting
8 oz cream cheese
1 /2 unsalted butter
1 -2 tablespoons heavy cream
4 -5 cups powdered sugar
4 tsp cinnamon
Directions
Churro Tres Leches
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Take out a 9x13 cake pan and set it aside. You can also use round pans but the oven time may be different.
Step 2
In a bowl, mix 3 large room temperature eggs and then add in 2 cups of white sugar. Mix until well combined. Then add in 3/4 cup of vegetable oil. Once that's incorporated add in 1 cup of sour cream and 2 tsp of vanilla extract.
Step 3
Now in a separate bowl we're going to add the dry ingredients. In the bowl add in 2 1/2 cups of flour, 1 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp baking soda, and 1 tbsp of cinnamon.
Step 4
Now add the dry ingredients to your wet ingredients little by little. Then add in 2-3 tablespoons of milk. Mix until well combined but don't over mix it to avoid air bubbles in batter.
Step 5
Now grease your 9x13 cake mold (or any cake pan you want) and add all of the cake batter. Bake it in the oven for 40-45 minutes. The time will be different if you decide to use a smaller cake pan so I would say check on it constantly. You can use a large toothpick to poke a hole in the middle of the cake, if it comes out clean it means it's ready to be taken out of the oven! Be sure to let the cake cool down completely before adding the tres leches mixture.
Step 6
Now that your cake has cooled down. In a large container or bowl add in 1 can of condensed milk (La Lechera is a personal favorite of mine), 1 can of evaporated milk, 1 cup of whole milk, and 2 tsp of vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
Step 7
Now that you have prepared your tres leches mixture, poke some holes using a fork or toothpick onto the cake and pour over the tres leches mixture on top.
Step 8
Then cover it up and leave it in the fridge for at least 3 hours but preferably overnight so that the cake can soak up all of the tres leches mixture perfectly.
Step 9
Once that's completed, you'll need to mix 1/2 cup of sugar and 1 1/2 tablespoons of cinnamon in a small bowl. Then you're going to drizzle the cinnamon sugar mixture on top evenly.
Step 10
Then decorate with some cinnamon cream cheese frosting! You can also sprinkle a little bit of the cinnamon sugar mixture on top for decorations! I topped mine with some churros (these were store bought). Point is decorated however you would like! Hope y'all enjoy this recipe!!
Cinnamon Cream Cheese Frosting
Step 1
In a mixer add in 1/2 cup room temperature unsalted butter and 1 block of room temperature cream cheese and let it mix on high speed for about 5 minutes

Then lower the mixing speed and add in 4-5 cups of powdered sugar. One cup at a time. Next add in 2 tsps of vanilla extract. Add in 1-2 tablespoons of heavy cream as needed to make the frosting smooth.

Step 3
Finally add in 4 tsp of cinnamon to the frosting and mix until everything is well combined. There you have some cinnamon cream cheese frosting!
