Ingredients
1 pound large shrimp, peeled & deveined
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
1 tsp Tony Chachere’s seasoning
1 tsp paprika
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp white pepper
3 tbsp unsalted butter
8 oz fresh baby spinach, rinsed
8 oz whipped cream cheese
1 tbsp minced garlic
6 oz crab meat
1 tsp red pepper flakes
¼ cup heavy cream
¼ cup sour cream
½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Directions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350° F.
Step 2
In a medium bowl, season the shrimp with the seasonings listed. Add the butter to a skillet pan and melt on medium heat. Add the shrimp and cook 1-2 minutes on each side, then remove from the pan. Cut the shrimp into pieces and set to the side.
Step 3
Using the same pan, add the spinach and cook until it wilts down, add more spinach if needed. Add the minced garlic to the cooked spinach and cook until the smell of garlic is fragrant.
Step 4
Next, incorporate the cream cheese, sour cream, and heavy cream into the spinach and garlic mixture until smooth. Add the crab meat and shrimp. Remove the pan from heat and mix in the cheese until everything is well combined.
Step 5
Grab an 8-inch cast iron pan and coat with nonstick spray or butter. Add the spinach dip mixture and top it off with some more shredded cheese. Bake in the oven for 15 minutes or until the top is bubbly and cheesy.
Step 6
Remove from the oven and serve with homemade tortilla chips or garlic bread.
