Ingredients
Chicken Marinade
2 chicken breasts
1 tsp each: garlic powder, onion powder, Adobo seasoning, paprika, cayenne pepper, chili powder, and white pepper
2 egg whites
2 tbsp yellow mustard
2 tbsp sriracha or hot sauce of your choice
1 cup buttermilk
Fried Chicken Recipe
3 - 4 cups all purpose flour
½ cup cornstarch
(Same seasonings as before)
Vegetable oil for frying
Hot Honey Sauce
1 cup Mike’s Hot Honey
¼ cup chicken stock
2 tbsp Mrs. Dash’s Southwest Chipotle seasoning
¼ cup brown sugar
Garlic Butter and Croissants
4 jumbo Croissants
Chopped parsley
1 stick unsalted butter
Grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp garlic paste
Caesar Salad
Chopped romaine lettuce
Caesar dressing
Shaved Parmesan cheese
1 tsp Black pepper
Directions
Chicken Marinade
Step 1
Slice chicken breasts in half and pound down a bit until the chicken is flattened and thinner.
Step 2
Place in a large bowl, add the seasonings, egg whites, mustard, sriracha, and butter milk. Combine well, and cover with a lid or Saran Wrap. Allow to marinade in the fridge for at least an hour.
Fried Chicken Recipe
Step 1
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, and the same seasonings listed for the chicken marinade.
Step 2
Dip the marinaded chicken breasts in the seasoned flour mix and coat thoroughly. Allow it to rest on a wire rack for 10 minutes while heating the oil to medium high heat.
Step 3
Fry the chicken breast for 6-7 minutes, or until brown and crispy.
Hot Honey Sauce
Step 1
In a saucepan on medium heat, combine hot honey, brown sugar, chicken stock, and seasoning. Whisk and allow to simmer until the sauce thickens. When the sauce bubbles, remove from heat and set to the side.
Step 2
When the chicken is fully cooked, dip in the hot honey sauce and coat evenly.
Garlic Butter and Croissants
Step 1
Slice the croissants in half and toast the inside.
Step 2
Melt the butter for 15 sec intervals in the microwave until melted. Add the chopped parsley and garlic seasoning to the butter.
Step 3
Assemble the sandwich to your liking and brush the top of the croissant with the garlic butter. Enjoy!
Caesar Salad
Step 1
Combine chopped romaine lettuce, shaved Parmesan cheese, and Caesar dressing in a bowl. Coat the salad in the dressing and cover with a lid or Saran Wrap. Place in the fridge until it’s time to plate.
