Ingredients
6 - 8 chicken thighs, deboned (or you can use boneless skinless chicken thighs)
1 lime
1 tbsp each: brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, chicken bouillon, Italian seasoning
1 tsp onion powder,
1 tsp chipotle chili powder
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp chili powder
½ tsp red pepper flakes
2 tbsp baking powder
Avocado oil
4 tbsp butter
2 tbsp minced garlic
2 tbsp brown sugar
½ cup honey
2 tsp chipotle chili powder
½ tsp red pepper flakes
¼ cup water
Parsley
Directions
Step 1
Clean chicken with lime and water. Pat dry and add to a large bowl.
Step 2
Add the seasonings and drizzle some avocado oil into the bowl. Combine well and cover the bowl. Allow to marinate for at least 2 hours-overnight.
Step 3
Preheat oven to 390°F.
Step 4
Lightly spray air fryer with nonstick spray. Place the chicken thighs skin down into the air fryer, close the air fryer and cook the chicken thighs for 7 minutes. Open the air fryer, flip the chicken with the skin side up and cook for another 7-8 minutes (depending on how crispy you want them).
Step 5
In a skillet, on medium heat, add all the sauce ingredients and allow to cook and reduce until the sauce thickens. If it needs more thickened, just add more honey.
Step 6
Place cooked chicken thighs in sauce and enjoy hot.
