Ingredients
1 packet of active dry yeast
3 ½ cups bread flour
1 ½ cups of warm water
1 tsp coconut sugar
1 ½ tsp salt
Directions
Step 1
To a large mixing bowl add yeast, sugar, 1/2 cup luke warm water, mix and let sit to activate for 5-10 minutes. You'll know it's ready when it looks frothy.
Step 2
Now add the rest of the water and 2 cups of flour. Mix until full combined, add salt, add the rest of the flour and mix until it forms into a sticky dough.
Step 3
Add to a lightly floured surface, kneed for 5 minutes until dough is smooth, form into a uniform ball, add it to a lightly greased bowl and cover with a kitchen towel to let rise for 45 minutes.
Step 4
Uncover and punch the air out. Add the dough to a lightly floured surface, divide into 2 separate pieces and roll each into a ball. Then roll each out into a circle with about 6 inches in diameter.
Step 5
Roll them out into a thick rope make sure press the seams down with your fingers as you roll it out. The thick rope should be shaped like a sausage roll about 6 inches long. Then add them both to a lined baking pan about 2 inches apart. Cover with a kitchen towel and let them rise for another 45 minutes.
Step 6
Uncover, cut 3 diagonal slits in the top with a sharp knife and bake at 450F for 25 mins. Make sure to let cool for atleast 20 minutes before slicing into the bread.
