Homemade Vegan Artisan Bread

Ingredients

3 cups Bread Flour or whole wheat flour

1 pack of instant yeast

1 tsp salt

1 tsp coconut sugar

1 ½ cups of warm water

Directions

Step 1

To a large mixing bowl add flour, instant yeast, salt, sugar and whisk thoroughly. Pour in water, mix with wooden spoon until a sticky dough forms and cover with a kitchen towel for 2-3 hours.

Step 2

30 mins before the dough is done rising preheat the oven to 450F and preheat your Dutch oven for lunch 30 mins. Then remove from oven and line with parchment paper.

Step 3

Uncover your dough and Sprinkle a clean surface with flour. Add your dough onto the floured surface to form into a uniform ball. Transfer to parchment paper lined Dutch oven and place the lid on top. Bake at 450F for 30 mins covered and uncover and bake for 10 more mins.

Step 4

Brush the bread with butter and let cool for 20-30 mins before slicing.
