Ingredients
4 cube steaks
4 teaspoons vegetable oil
½ cup all purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons Tony’s creole seasoning
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
2 cups beef broth or chicken broth
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 tablespoons all purpose flour
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Step 1
Use a meat mallet to tenderize the cube steaks.

In a small bowl, mix together salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Tony’s seasoning.

Sprinkle the seasoning mixture over both sides of each steak.

Place flour in a shallow dish and dredge each steak in it.

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Cook the steaks for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until browned and cooked through.

Remove the steaks from the skillet and set aside.

Add the beef broth to the skillet and bring to a boil, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet with a wooden spoon.

In a small bowl, whisk together the butter and flour until smooth.

Add the butter mixture to the skillet and whisk until the gravy thickens.

Reduce the heat to low and let the gravy simmer for 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
