Ingredients
500 g plain flour
125 g unsalted butter
1 tsp salt
pinch of sugar
1 egg
100 ml warm water
500 g Halloumi cheese (can use mozzarella sticks, firm feta, or any other hard salty cheese)
Directions
Step 1
Mix flour, salt, sugar, crumb butter in flour mix, add egg & water.
Step 2
Knead until smooth, let rest covered for 20min or max 2 hours.
Step 3
Roll out dough to 1/4 cm thick, cut long strips & wrap cheese sticks, press well.
Step 4
Fry until golden & crispy.
Step 5
Serve hot & enjoy!
