for the salmon

14 - 16 oz salmon filet, cut into 2.5” pieces

2 tbsp unsalted butter, cubed

2 - 2 ½ tbsp old bay seasoning

1 ½ tbsp honey

2 tbsp oil, divided

for the old bay tartar sauce

1 c mayonnaise

¼ c sweet pickle relish

2 old bay seasoning

2 tbsp fresh lemon juice

1 tbsp red wine vinegar

1 tbsp sugar

½ tbsp onion powder

¼ tbsp ground black pepper

for the salmon
Step 1
Add the salmon to a bowl, drizzle with 1 tablespoon of oil, honey & season with 2-2½ tablespoons of old bay. Massage the salmon until seasoning is evenly distributed.

Add 1 tablespoon of oil to the pan over medium-high heat. Sear the salmon on each side for 30-45 seconds. Add the butter to pan & reduce the heat to medium-low. Allow the salmon to cook in butter for an additional minute. Drizzle with additional honey if desired. Remove from the heat & set aside.

for the old bay tatar sauce
Step 1
In a bowl, whisk all of the ingredients of old bay tartar sauce until well-combined. Chill & serve alongside the bites. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
