It’s like a lasagna casserole, and it has all the delicious flavors without all the annoying layering and time involved with regular lasagna. I'm grateful for this much quicker version of lasagna, because everyone loves lasagna, but I don't know anyone who loves how long it takes to make.

Ingredients

1 lb lasagna noodles

1 lb ground beef

1 lb Italian sausage

1 lb mozzarella cheese

1 ½ cups Parmesan cheese

4 oz ricotta cheese

8 oz cream cheese

½ cup red onion, diced

2 tbsp fresh chopped basil

8 oz container spinach

1 tsp dried oregano

5 cloves garlic, minced

24 oz jar pasta sauce

15 oz jar tomato sauce

Directions

Step 1

Break lasagna noodles into 2 inch pieces and add to a pot of boiling water. Strain and set aside when done.

Step 2

Add cream cheese, ricotta cheese, spinach, 1 tbsp basil, oregano, salt, pepper, garlic, and 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese to a large bowl. Mix until combined.

Step 3

Remove casing from sausage. Add to a large pan/pot along with ground beef and brown both. Once browned, add in garlic, remaining basil, onion and cook until softened. Add in pasta sauce, tomato sauce, and 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese—cook until heated through.

Step 4

Add noodles into meat mixture and stir until combined. Pour contents into a large baking dish. Top with large scoops of cheese mixture. Lightly spread around. Top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.

Step 5

Bake in oven at 375° for 30 minutes. Broil on high for last 5 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
