A delicious and easy-to-make stuffed sausage recipe with ground beef, mushrooms, onions, and cheese. I used chicken sausage in the video, which I don't recommend. A brat or good Italian sausage work much better!

Ingredients

2 lbs sausage of choice (brats recommended)

1 lb ground beef

8 oz mushrooms, sliced

1 medium onion, diced

1 ½ cup shredded cheese

1 package spinach

1 tsp salt

1 tbsp thyme

½ tsp black pepper

4 oz cream cheese

Directions

Step 1

Brown the ground beef in a pan and set aside.

Step 2

In the same pan, sauté the onions. Once softened, add the mushrooms.

Step 3

Add salt, thyme, and black pepper to the onion and mushroom mixture. Stir until combined and mushrooms have released their liquid. Remove from pan and place into a large bowl.

Step 4

Add the ground beef to the onions and mushrooms. Mix in the cream cheese, 1 cup of shredded cheese, and spinach.

Step 5

Slice the sausages open down the middle and stuff with a generous portion of the ground beef mixture.

Step 6

Top with more shredded cheese.

Step 7

Place into the oven at 350°F for 20-25 minutes, or until the sausage reaches a temperature of 165°F.

Step 8

Serve as is or enjoy with a bun.
