Ingredients

For the Steak

2 lbs steak of choice (I used venison tenderloin)

1 tbsp olive oil

Grillin’ Out steak seasoning from @burlapandbarrel

1 tsp sea salt

½ tsp black pepper

For the Gravy

2 tbsp butter

1 yellow onion, diced

8 oz package mushrooms

5 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp flour

2 cups beef broth

1 tsp salt

1 tsp mustard powder

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

½ tsp black pepper

2 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Directions

Step 1

Coat your steaks with olive oil, then sprinkle seasonings on top and massage into meat.

Step 2

Heat a large pan to medium high heat. Cook steak to desired doneness. Cook in batches to ensure a good sear on the steak.

Step 3

Remove steak from pan and set aside.

Step 4

Add butter to pan. Once melted add in onions and cook until softened. Add in garlic and cook for a minute.

Step 5

Add in flour…whisk together until a paste forms. Add in broth one cup at a time. Once combined, add in remaining spices and store to incorporate.

Step 6

Add in mushrooms, stir and cover with a lid for a few minutes. Once mushrooms have softened add in steaks and cover with gravy. Let cook together for a few minutes then remove and serve stop mashed potatoes, rice or enjoy by itself!
