I’ve been meaning to share this for a while now…HOMEMADE RANCH & MAYO. I think people are beginning to realize that the conveniences of modernity come with some serious tradeoffs. And most often, our health is one of the biggest victims when seeking convenience. Start by making small swaps for healthier items, like this homemade ranch, and just keep going from there. It’s a win win! Stays fresh for at least 14 days as long as you’re using fresh ingredients.

Ingredients

For the Mayo

1 whole egg

½ lemon, juiced

1 tsp Dijon mustard

½ tsp salt

1 cup avocado oil

For the Ranch

¾ cup buttermilk

1 cup sour cream

1 whole lemon, juiced

1 tbsp fresh parsley or 2 tsp dried

1 tbsp fresh chives or 2 tsp dried

1 tsp salt

1 tsp black pepper

1 ½ tsp dried dill

1 ½ tsp garlic powder

1 ½ tsp onion powder

Directions

Step 1

For the Mayo

Step 1

Add all ingredients except oil to a large mason jar. Then pour oil in and blend until thick and creamy—takes about 10-15 seconds

Step 2

For the Ranch

Step 1

Add buttermilk and sour cream on top of mayo, then add in remaining ingredients. Mix, shake, blend together.

Step 2

Serve and enjoy!
