Ingredients
3 lbs ground beef
1 package hamburger buns
2 large onions
Cheese of choice (I love cheddar and Gouda—I don’t mess with that fake American crap)
1 tbsp salt, to taste
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 –2 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
Directions
Step 1
Scoop out 1/2 cup of hamburger and loosely form into patties. Place into fridge while prepping and cooking onions.
Step 2
Cut onions in half, then slice. Heat a large pan with olive oil over medium heat. Cook until softened. Add balsamic vinegar and cook until caramelized…about 20 more minutes.
Step 3
Remove from pan and set onions aside. Lay your patties in the pan, sprinkle with salt, garlic, and pepper…cook for 4-5 minutes, then flip and sprinkle again.
Step 4
Once cooked to your desired doneness, lightly chop patties with a turner, then top with onions and cheese. Cook another minute or two, then remove from pan.
Step 5
Place one or two patties on a bun, serve and enjoy!
