Ingredients
Dry Rub
3 –4 pounds of pork ribs
1 tbsp garlic powder
2 tsp onion powder
1 tbsp chili powder
1 tbsp paprika
½ tsp cayenne
1 tbsp sea salt
1 tsp black pepper
BBQ Sauce
1 cup ketchup
⅓ cup brown sugar
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 ½ tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tbsp chili powder
1 tbsp paprika
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
Directions
Dry Rub
Step 1
Peel the thin membrane off the back of the ribs. It may already be removed, but you can remove it by sliding a paring knife between the membrane and the flesh and then grabbing it and peeling it off.
Step 2
Preheat oven to 300°. Place all dry rub ingredients into a bowl…stir to combine. Place ribs meat side up onto a baking sheet. Sprinkle dry rub on top…rub in thoroughly. Flip ribs over and cover sheet tightly with foil.
Step 3
Place covered ribs into the oven for 2.5 to 3 hours.
Step 4
Make BBQ sauce during this time. Combine all BBQ sauce ingredients into a sauce pan. Stir over medium heat & bring to a simmer…stirring constantly. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Pour into a container…place in fridge.
Step 5
After 2.5–3 hours remove ribs from oven & remove foil. Brush generously with BBQ sauce. Place back into oven under broil for roughly 5 minutes.
Step 6
Remove from oven. Rest foil back on top and let cool for 10-20 minutes. Dig in and enjoy!
