Copycat-ish Big Mac Sloppy Joes

My kids always jump for joy when I tell them I’m making these sloppy joes for dinner. And now YOUR KIDS CAN TOO! A perfect weeknight dinner or for whenever you're in a hurry and want something quick, and much healthier than what you'd get from McDonald's.

Ingredients

Ingredients

1 lb. ground beef

¼ cup onion, diced fine

¼ cup dill pickles, diced fine

1 tsp dijon mustard

⅓ cup ketchup

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tbsp brown sugar

salt and pepper to taste

4 sesame seed hamburger buns, optional

1 cup lettuce (shredded)

8 slices cheddar cheese

¼ cup sliced dill pickles

"Big Mac" Sauce

½ cup mayonnaise — I only recommend @chosenfoods (made with avocado oil)

2 tbsp pickles, finely diced

1 tbsp onion, finely diced

1 tbsp ketchup

1 tsp dill pickle juice

Directions

Ingredients

Step 1

In a skillet brown ground beef, then add onions and pickles and cook until they are tender.

Step 2

Add mustard, ketchup, garlic powder, brown sugar, salt, and pepper. Cover and bring to a simmer.

Step 3

Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Adjust seasoning to taste. Make the Mac Sauce during this time.

Step 4

Serve on buns with big mac sauce, then cheese, meat, lettuce, pickles, and cheese. Top with a little Mac sauce and the top bun.

"Big Mac" Sauce

Step 1

Combine all ingredients and mix until combined.
