Ingredients

2 lbs skirt steak

1 lime

taco seasoning (or seasonings of your choice)

flour tortillas

refried beans

shredded cheddar cheese (or cheese of your choice)

Pico de Gallo

Salsa

Directions

Step 1

To season the steak(I am using skirt steak, but you can also use flank steak), squeeze the lime juice over both sides of the steak, then season on both sides with the Siete Spicy Taco Seasoning.

Step 2

Using any large skillet/cast iron pan/indoor grill pan, set to medium high heat, spray with cooking oil, once hot, add the steak, for a medium rare, I like to cook for 2-3 minutes per side. If you like a more medium/well done steak, cook it for 4-5 minutes per side. Once the steak is cooked, place it on a cutting board and let it rest for at least 10 minutes.

Step 3

While the steak rests, start heating up your tortillas and warm up the refried beans.

Step 4

Once the steak has rested, slice it up it thin strips.

Step 5

To assemble the tacos, get your warm tortillas, spread them with refried beans, top the beans with shredded cheese, the steak and your choice of salsa.

Step 6

I topped my tacos with Pico de Gallo, (Pico de Gallo Recipe). It is simply diced tomatoes, onion, jalapeño, cilantro, lime juice, salt and pepper.
