Ingredients
1 lb chicken wings
1 cup buttermilk
¼ cup pickle juice
½ cup hot sauce + 2 tbsp
2 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp paprika
salt and pepper to taste
2 cup corn starch or potato starch
oil for frying
4 tbsp butter
¼ cup honey
Directions
Step 1
To a large bowl add the chicken wings, buttermilk, pickle juice, garlic powder, 2 tbsp of the hot sauce, salt and pepper. Mix together and let marinade for at least 30 minutes.

To a separate bowl, add the corn starch or potato starch, garlic powder, salt, pepper and paprika. Whisk to combine.

Add oil to a large skillet and set to medium high heat.

Step 4
To coat the wings, take them out of the marinade making sure to let as much excess marinade come off. Pass them through the corn starch batter making sure to evenly coat but tapping off any excess.
Step 5
Fry the wings for 4-5 minutes per side. Set them on a baking sheet while you finish frying all the wings.
Step 6
To make the hot honey buffalo sauce, melt 4 tbsp of butter with 1/2 cup of hot sauce. Once the two are fully incorporated, add in the honey and let it sit at a low heat until you're ready to coat the wings.

Toss the wings in the sauce and serve them up with blue cheese or ranch.
