Ingredients

For the Dough:

250 g cold butter

100 g sugar

400 - 450 g flour

1 egg

1 packet vanilla sugar

1 pinch of salt

To Garnish:

80 g powdered sugar

2 tbsp cold water

Food colouring (purple)

Dried rose petals

Chopped pistachios

Nutella
Directions
Step 1
👨🍳 1) Preparing the Dough: In a bowl, knead together the cold butter, sugar, flour, egg, vanilla sugar, and a pinch of salt until well combined. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for 1 hour. After chilling, roll out the dough thinly on a lightly floured surface. Cut out the bottoms and tops of the cookies using your desired shapes. Place the cut-outs on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Bake them in the preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for about 10 minutes (keep an eye on them as they brown quickly). Let them cool.
Step 2
👨🍳 2) Garnishing: Mix powdered sugar with water and food colouring to create a thin icing. Dip the top side of the cooled biscuit tops into the icing. Garnish the iced biscuits directly with dried rose petals and chopped pistachios. Allow them to dry.
Step 3
👨🍳 3) Assembling the Nutella Biscuit Cake: Spread Nutella generously on the biscuit bottoms. Place the iced biscuits on top, creating sandwich-like structures.
