Philly Cheesesteak French Pizza

Ingredients

1 large loaf of French bread, sliced in half lengthwise

14 oz shaved steak

Ranch Dressing

Garlic butter

1 small onion, thinly sliced

½ small green bell pepper, thinly sliced

½ small red bell pepper, sliced thinly

Banana peppers (optional)

1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese (or provolone )

½ cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

½ packet of Au Jus gravy

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp butter

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp garlic & herb seasoning

1 tsp red pepper flakes

Salt and freshly ground black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

Place the French bread halves cut side up on a baking sheet. Spread on garlic butter then toast the bread in the oven for 5-7 minutes until slightly crisp and golden. Set aside.

Step 3

In a large skillet, heat 1tbsp olive oil. Add the shaved beef and cook for 2-3 minutes until lightly browned.

Step 4

Add the sliced onions, bell peppers, and banana peppers . Season with garlic powder, onion powder, garlic & herb , red pepper flakes, Worcestershire sauce, and Au jus gravy.

Step 5

Add 1/4 water , stir well then place on lid. Cook until veggies are softened, about 5-7 minutes. Remove lid and continue to cook until sauce is thickened. Taste and add salt and pepper if needed. Once taste is to liking remove from heat.

Step 6

Spread on ranch dressing then top with mozzarella cheese, cheddar cheese, and cooked steak. (Can Sprinkle more mozzarella and/or cheddar cheese on top.)

Step 7

Return the assembled pizza(s) to the oven and bake for 10-12 mins or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Step 8

Slice the French bread pizzas into pieces and serve hot.
