3 basil leaves
1 lb spaghetti pasta
2 tbsp butter

Directions
Step 1
Start by finely dicing your onion, green bell pepper and 6 garlic cloves
Step 2
To a pot we are going to brown our 1 pound of ground beef, half a pound of mild ground pork and half a pound of homestyle ground pork. About 5 to 10 minutes.
Step 3
Once our meat is fully browned, we are going to add in our diced vegetables. Sauté for another 3 to 5 minutes until fragrant.
Step 4
Season with 1 teaspoon of salt and pepper, one teaspoon of Italian seasoning, and one teaspoon of chili flakes. 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce.
Step 5
add your favorite dry red wine (one cup) and 2 tablespoons of tomato paste
Step 6
Once our meat is fully cooked, we are going to add in our 24 ounce can of crushed tomatoes and diced tomatoes, 14 ounce can of tomato sauce
Step 7
For extra flavor we are going to season with a teaspoon of onion powder, garlic powder, and to cut down on the acidity one big tablespoon of sugar
Step 8
Top with three basil leaves
Step 9
Cover and let simmer on medium low for 30 minutes to combine all the flavors
Step 10
The tomato sauce is ready now for our pasta. I used 1 pound of spaghetti pasta and cook to al dente about nine minutes.
Step 11
Optional, I topped my spaghetti with freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Step 12
Serve and enjoy!
