The Omelete I Eat Religiously

This is a omelette that I would literally eat almost everyday before work. It's so perfect. Has the perfect amount of bacon and chives. I always would eat this with this croissant toast that you can only get at Whole Foods. It's the best croissant toast I've ever had, and every Whole Foods carries it! Just ask someone in the bakery department!

Chives

Butter

Olive Oil

Bacon

Cheese Grater

Directions

Step 1

Start off by getting a baking sheet tray lined with foil. Pre heat your oven to 380 degrees. Once it's pre heated, put 2-3 strips of bacon on the tray, and put that in the oven for 20-23 minutes or until full cooked and crispy(don't worry about flipping them).

Step 2

Then start off by cracking 3 eggs into a bowl. Whisk those until everything is completely combined and homogeneous.

Step 3

Next get out a cheese grater, and grate about a half cup of sharp cheddar cheese. Then get a small bunch of chives and thinly slice those.

Step 4

Once all of that is ready and prepared. Wait on your bacon to be done, and pull that out when it's done. Give the bacon a rough chop and you're ready to make the omelette.

Step 5

Get a medium size pan on the stove and turn it to medium heat. When it comes up to heat, throw a small knob of butter in there with a little bit of olive oil. Melt that and cover the whole pan in butter.

Step 6

Next put the eggs in the pan and immediately start to scramble them. Don't scramble them tooooo much. only a little bit. Spread the eggs across the whole pan when they start to solidify and put down a thin layer of cheese on top then add your bacon.

Step 7

You can either do one 1/2 flip, or you could do the classic french omelette flip. The classic french omelette flip takes a little bit of practice but it's not impossible. Flip it over 1/3 of the way, then flip it again like a brochure.

Step 8

After the flip, turn off the heat and let it slowly cook on one side for 1-2 min, then flip and repeat the process.

Step 9

Put the omelette on a plate and top with the rest of the shredded sharp cheddar cheese and chives.

Step 10

ENJOY THAT SHIT!
