Ingredients
Butter
Brioche Bread
Honey
2 Eggs
Heavy Cream
Sugar
Nutmeg
Cinnamon
Directions
Step 1
So the first thing you want to do is slice your brioche bread. Make sure you do thick slices(about inch thick or more).
Step 2
Next, it's time to prep the egg mixture. Crack two eggs into a bowl and 1/2 a cup of heavy cream. Add a little less than 1/4 cups of sugar. 1 tablespoon of cinnamon and 1 teaspoon of freshly grated nutmeg. Whisk that up until it's nicely all combined.
Step 3
Once that's done, get a small bowl, and add a half stick of room temperature salted butter. Then add 2 spoonfuls of honey and mix that up until everything is combined.
Step 4
When that's done, get a medium size pan, and put that on the stove. Turn the heat to medium heat. When that's up to temp, put a knob of butter in the pan, and swirl it around until it's all melted. Then dip the bread into the egg mixture and make sure the bread is SOAKED in the mixture. Let the excess drip off, then put that shit into the pan.
Step 5
Flip the french toast when you have a nice beautiful crust/color. Repeat this process until the french toast is done. You'll know that the french toast is done, if you poke it with your finger, and the bread will slowly start the bounce back.
Step 6
Put your cooked french toast on a plate and top with your homemade honey butter.
Step 7
ENJOY!!!
