"Sosis" means sausage, hot-dog, and I had never tried this combination before. I met up with my friend Zarch in New York and he invited me to cook this traditional sandwich from his country, Iran, but of course with a Peruvian touch. I'm sharing the recipe with you and I hope you like it! Delicious.

Para el Sosis

6 hot dogs

3 cebollas blancas

1 aji amarillo sin pepa

1 rocoto sin pepa

2 habanero

3 ajos picados

3 g curcuma

2 g culantro en polvo

1 g paprika

40 ml agua

Para la salsa verde

6 jalapenos

20 g menta

20 g albahaca

20 g culantro

20 g cebolla china

2 dientes de ajo

sal al gusto

pimienta al gusto

100 ml aceite de oliva

30 ml vianagre rojo

Para terminar el sanguche

lechuga picadda

tomates

tu pan favorito tostado

For the Sausage

6 hot dogs

3 white onions

1 yellow pepper, seeds removed

1 rocoto pepper, seeds removed

2 habanero peppers

3 chopped garlic cloves

3 g turmeric

2 g coriander powder

1 g paprika

40 ml water

For the green sauce

6 jalapenos

20 g mint

20 g basil

20 g coriander

20 g green onion

2 garlic cloves

salt to taste

pepper to taste

100 ml olive oil

30 ml red vinegar

To finish the sandwich

chopped lettuce

tomatoes

your favorite toasted bread

Step 1

Para el sosis: En una sarten agregar la cebolla blanca picada en pluma con un chorro de aceite de oliva, sal y pimienta, cocinar lentamente por 15 minutos hasta que se caramelize bien, reservar.

Step 2

En una sarten saltear las salchichas cortadas en cilindros de 1/2 centimetro aproximadamente, saltear con aceite, dorar bien y reservar.

En una sarten agregar un chorrito de aceite, sudar el ajo picado con el habanero, aji amarillo y rocoto picado, agregar la pasta de tomate y cocinar bien por 3 minutos, agregar un chorro de agua y sazonar con sal, pimienta, curcuma, paprika, culantro en polvo, Agregar las salchichas y las cebollas, reservar.

Para la salsa verde: Agregar todo a una licuadora y licuar.

Step 5

Armar el sancuche agregando salsa por ambos lados, agregar la lechuga y tomate, mas salsa, la mezcla de sosis y disfrutar.

Step 1

For the sausage: In a pan, add the white onion chopped in feather with a drizzle of olive oil, salt and pepper, cook slowly for 15 minutes until it caramelizes well, set aside.

Step 2

In a pan, sauté the sausages cut into approximately 1/2 centimeter cylinders, sauté with oil, brown well and set aside.

Step 3

In a pan, add a drizzle of oil, sweat the chopped garlic with the habanero, yellow chili and chopped rocoto, add the tomato paste and cook well for 3 minutes, add a splash of water and season with salt, pepper, turmeric, paprika, powdered coriander. Add the sausages and onions, set aside.

Step 4

For the green sauce: Add everything to a blender and blend.

Step 5

Assemble the sandwich by adding sauce on both sides, add the lettuce and tomato, more sauce, the sausage mixture and enjoy.
