Ingredients
8 oz Mild Cheddar Cheese (Grated)
2 cups heavy whipping cream
6 cups of water
½ cup of flour
1 broccoli head
2 shredded carrots
6 tbsp butter
4 - 5 garlic cloves (minced)
½ Yellow Onion
Seasonings
½ cup Chicken Bouillon
2 tbsp McCormick Garlic Herb Seasoning
1 tbsp Salt
1 tbsp Pepper
Directions
Step 1
Start by prepping all ingredients (chopping onions, mincing garlic, getting broccoli cleaned and chopped, shred your carrot etc), if you would like frozen broccoli would work just fine and carrot chips work as well! Anything to make it easier.
Step 2
Start by heating a dutch oven with 1 TBSP Olive Oil and allow to heat.
Step 3
Add in yellow onion and garlic. Allow to cook on medium heat for 2-3 minutes.
Step 4
Add in 6 TBSP of butter and once melted, add in your flour. (If you like a thicker consistency try 3/4 cups flour and 6 cups water)
Step 5
Allow flour to cook down for at least 2 minutes to remove the flour taste before adding in chicken bouillon and water.
Step 6
Mix well and add in broccoli, carrots, and seasonings.
Step 7
Boil for 5 minutes and turn heat down to a medium. Add in your heavy cream and cheese, giving a really good mix in between.
Step 8
Allow to cook for 5 additional minutes and then cut heat off to allow it to thicken up.
Step 9
Serve & Enjoy!
