Ingredients

1 lb. ground beef

4 country sausage patties

1 tbsp Italian seasoning

1 tsp. salt

1 egg

¼ cup parmesan cheese

½ cup breadcrumbs, moistened with milk & cream

Mirepoix, finely diced

1 tbsp tomato paste

1 tbsp Italian seasoning (again)

2 cloves diced garlic

1 oz 28 can San Marzano tomatoes

1 oz 14 can tomato sauce

¼ cup red wine

Directions

Step 1

Mix the meat, Italian seasoning, salt, egg, cheese and breadcrumbs in a large bowl. Form int meatballs about the size of golf balls.

¼ cup parmesan cheese

½ cup breadcrumbs, moistened with milk & cream

Step 2

Brown them in oil, and remove to a plate.

Step 3

Add mirepoix to pan and sauté until soft. Add tomato paste and seasonings, and cook for 1 or 2 minutes.

Step 4

Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, and wine. Nestle meatballs back in the pan, cover and simmer for 1 hour.
